The guest constructor program allows amateur and professional crossword puzzle constructors to publish their work on BestCrosswords.com.
We're always on the lookout for skilled crossword constructors so if you're interested, read on!

How does it work?
First, you have to open a constructor account (see below). Once approved, you'll be able to upload one or more of your puzzles to the site. These puzzles will be immediately available for players to complete and rate. If your puzzles get a good rating, they'll rise to the top of the list and more players will complete them.
Who owns the puzzles I upload?
You remain the sole owner of the crossword puzzles you upload. BestCrosswords.com is only providing you with the platform and the user base necessary to promote your work. You can remove any or all of the uploaded puzzles at any time. Moreover, nothing prevents you from selling those puzzles to third parties, or from uploading previously sold puzzles (as long as the parties involved are in agreement with this practice, e.g. they don't have exclusivity rights on those puzzles, etc).
What's in it for me?
First, you get recognition. The program provides you with an easy way to feature your work to millions of players every month. You'll get tons of feedback from those players which will allow you to improve your craft. Also, since puzzles are player rated for difficulty and enjoyment, you can use that data to categorize your puzzles. This data can be a valuable aid in publishing a crossword book.
Second, and most importantly, the program gives you real estate on the BestCrosswords.com site. We call that real estate Guest Constructor Area and you provide content to fill that real estate in the form of HTML. Examples of content include:
So the program is a great way for you to earn extra revenue and that revenue is proportional to the popularity of puzzles uploaded into it.

How do I sign up?
We only accept constructors with a bit of experience. That doesn't mean you need to have been published, simply that you've constructed puzzles before.
Contact us and we'll walk you through the steps required to become our next guest constructor!
If you have any questions about the program, feel free to contact us or to contact any of the constructors currently enrolled in the program, to see how it's working out for them.
